Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center, Inc. Celebrates 30th Anniversary

Bay Shore, NY - October 8th, 2013 -  On October 24, Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center, Inc. (ADRC) will be hosting its 30th Anniversary Celebration and Tribute to the Four Seasons, which will take place at JEWEL by Tom Schaudel, located at 400 Broadhollow Road in Melville, beginning at 6 p.m.

This year’s honorees will be Mark Ordan, Chief Executive Officer of Sunrise Senior Living, who is being recognized for his leadership in senior care, and Dignity Home Care.

Mr. Ordan is a graduate of Vassar College and Harvard Business School. He was previously the CEO of the Mills Corporation, Fresh Fields Markets, and Balducci’s. He also serves as the Director of the Greater Washington Board of Trade, is a founding member of the Young Presidents’ Organization’s National Capital Area Chapter, and is an active supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Mr. Ordan joined Sunrise Senior Living in March 2008 as the company’s Chief Administrative and Investment Officer, and was named CEO of November 2008.

Sunrise offers a range of personalized assisted living senior services, including independent living, care for individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of memory loss, as well as skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitative services. These services are delivered by a team trained to encourage independence, preserve dignity, enable freedom of choice and protect the privacy of each resident.

Dignity Home Care is an agency that provides seniors with the care services they need at home. The staff is composed of registered nurses and licensed caregivers who assist with medication management, care coordination, light housekeeping, personal grooming and errands. Dignity Home Care provides its services to Nassau, Suffolk, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, New York City, and Westchester, and has a registered nurse on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week for emergencies.
