Stony Brook, NY - October 6, 2015 - Starry Nights, a unique chamber music concert that brings stars of the classical music world to the Staller Center Recital Hall at Stony Brook University, will include a Haydn String Quartet, a Brahms Sextet, and a trumpet jazz set on its program, Friday, November 6 at 8:00 pm.

Starry Nights is a popular chamber music tradition at Staller Center, featuring artists in residence in the Department of Music at Stony Brook University. The concert includes Lawrence Dutton, violist of the renowned Emerson String Quartet, Jennifer Frautschi and Arnaud Sussmann, both acclaimed violinists and winners of Avery Fisher Career Grants, and Thomas Manuel, jazz trumpeter, among others. Artistic director of Starry Nights is professor and cellist Colin Carr.

WSHU Public Radio sponsors Staller Nights at Staller Center. WSHU is found at 91.1fm in the Stony Brook area.

The Box Office is also open for over-the-counter sales Monday to Saturday, 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm and one hour before performances.
