Jurassic Quest, an impressive display of 70 dinosaurs including the popular Tyrannosaurus Rex, Spinosaurus and Triceratops, will be held at Point Lookout Town Beach in the Town of Hempstead from October 2 through October 11. What is usually an indoor event has been reimagined as a drive-thru exhibit to accommodate guests during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Taking place in the parking lot at the Town beach in Point Lookout, the event will allow families to navigate the exhibit from their own personal vehicle. An audio tour is also available to further enhance the experience and learn all about the dinosaurs on display.
According to the Jurassic Quest website, this is North America’s largest and most realistic dinosaur event. The new drive-thru exhibit respects social distancing requirements and all equipment is regularly sanitized.
Tickets are available for all Long Islanders at a fixed price of $49 per car on the Jurassic Quest website. The show is slated to run from 11am – 8pm on October 2 and will continue through to October 11 from 9am – 8pm. Each tour is estimated to be an hour long, and will feature actors and actresses along with the animatronic dinosaurs. The show is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
