Pedestrian Killed in Hit-And-Run Crash in Holbrook
Holbrook, NY - October 5th, 2013 - Suffolk County Police Vehicular Crime Unit detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in Holbrook early this morning.
Cheri Larrydale was walking northbound on Broadway Avenue, crossing Veterans Memorial Highway, when she was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound on Veterans Memorial Highway at approximately 12:40 a.m. Larrydale, 46, of Holbrook, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
The vehicle sustained front end and headlight assembly damage.
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact the Vehicular Crime Unit at 631-852-6555 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
