NCPD Announce Arrests of Three Far Rockaway Men in Connection with Multiple Armed Bank Robberies

Far Rockaway, NY - October 4, 2017 - The Major Case Squad reports the arrests of three Far Rockaway men in connection with three Bank Robberies that occurred in Nassau County.
 
According to Robbery Squad Detectives, the three defendants acted in concert by entering each of the following banks armed with a handgun, demanding US currency and ordering employees to the floor. The proceeds were an undetermined amount of US currency. No injuries were reported.
 
  • Friday, July 14, 2017 5:31pm Roslyn Savings Bank 75 N. Central Avenue, Valley Stream
  • Monday, August 7, 2017 at 8:12am TD Bank 100 Cedarhurst Avenue, Cedarhurst
  • Monday, August 21, 2017 at 3:30pm Bridgehampton National Bank 1218 Broadway, Hewlett
Defendants Pedro Benitez, 20, and Quincy A. Hall, 32, were each arrested without incident on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 1:35pm and 3:15pm. The defendants are each charged with three counts of Robbery 1st Degree, three counts of Criminal Use of a Firearm and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon. They were previously arraigned on Thursday, September 28, 2017.  
 
Defendant Damilola J. Saka, 24, was arrested at 10:35am on Tuesday, October 03, 2017 and is charged with one count each of Robbery 1st Degree, Criminal Use of a Firearm and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
