Long Island, NY - October 4th, 2013 - Moms Who Kick Inc., a 501(c)(3) public charity supporting breast cancer research and promoting fitness and healthy lifestyles, will launch its 2014 Moms Who Kick fundraising calendar with a benefit concert featuring New York’s Premier Girl Group, The Chiclettes during October’s National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Its “Retro-Glam/Vintage Pin-Up Style” themed 2014 calendar, the charity’s sixth edition, not only features inspirational moms whose lives have been impacted by breast cancer, including nine cancer survivors, but is for the first time showcasing non-moms affected by the disease as part of its new Women Who Kick endeavor. Each of the 15 women featured in the 2014 calendar will bring their inspirational “role model” messages to life as they walk the runway in a special fashion show held during Moms Who Kick’s 2014 Calendar Launch Party and Benefit Concert on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 to not only “model” the same fashions they sport in the calendar but also their personal stories of perseverance and triumph over illness.

Promising a fun-filled, ‘kick-up-your-heels’ night for all in attendance, the Calendar Launch Party and Benefit Concert will be held at Wall St. Night Club in Hauppauge from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.  Tickets are $100 and will also feature a buffet dinner, a two-hour open bar, dancing, and raffle prizes.

All of the net proceeds from this event will benefit Moms Who Kick Inc., allowing the charity to continue its mission to raise cancer prevention awareness and support cutting edge breast cancer research studies being conducted at local area hospitals. To date, Moms Who Kick has been responsible for donating more than $25,000 to The Breast and Ovarian Cancer Studies being conducted at NS-LIJ The Monter Cancer Center and The Feinstein Institute for Cancer Research.
