Spiritual Connection Center Host 2nd Annual Pet Blessing and Charity Event

Patchogue, NY - October 3, 2016 - The Spiritual Connection Center located at Austin Plaza-100 Austin Street, in Patchogue, is hosting their 2nd Annual Pet Blessing and Charity Event, to Benefit Harmony Café a non-profit organization.

The outdoor religious ceremony will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 11am in Honor of The Feast of St. Francis of Assisi the Patron Saint of Animals. Reverend Cassandra Giangrasso, Founder and Minister of the Spiritual Connection Center, will conduct a prayer and blessing ceremony where she will deliver prayers asking God to grant pets and their owners both health and peace. Reverend Giangrasso will bless all pets individually, and will whisper a few words of encouragement and love to them. She will also offer their owners a blessing too.

The Spiritual Connection Center is also asking you to join them in helping to support the Harmony Café with their vision and mission, and to help them to secure a permanent location to serve “suggested donation” meals to the members of our community.

To support the Harmony Café, fun-raising items will be made available. Blessed St. Francis Medals for pets and a Photo Booth where owners can have their picture taken with their pets.

Photo Booth is supplied by Lady V Event Planning Services of North Babylon. Suggested Donation for each is $10. All proceeds will go to benefit the Harmony Café to help them reach their goal.

About Harmony Café  “A Community Café”
Rosemarie McCarthy, Executive Director and Founder, is dedicated in helping to end local hunger and food insecurity in a respectful and dignified manner. Harmony Café provides affordable healthy meals using a “suggested donation”, “never a price system” for their meals served, and is available to patrons who have the ability to pay, as well as to the patrons who cannot. The Café uses a “Pay it Forward” and “Pay What You Can Afford” ”Giving a Hand Up” “Honor System” concept.

Harmony Café ‘s goal is to eliminate hunger and build relationships, by bringing the community together in a welcoming environment. The Café unique system has already been implemented and is currently holding events and serving meals to the community twice a month.
