SCPD Crime Alert: Man Wanted for Stealing Cigarettes at Ronkonkoma Gas Station

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole cigarettes from a gas station in Ronkonkoma.

Ronkonkoma, NY - October 3rd, 2013 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole cigarettes from a gas station in Ronkonkoma.

A man entered the Sunoco gas station, located at 885 Johnson Ave.,on August 10 at 11:30 p.m., and stole a carton of Newport cigarettes from the counter. The attendant followed the suspect to his car and reached inside the vehicle. The suspect drove away with the attendant hanging out the window for approximately 60 feet.

The suspect is described as five feet ten inches tall and approximately 240 pounds. The vehicle he fled in is described as a dark colored sedan.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash rewardof up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
