This week, attorneys and staff at Uniondale-based Koeppel Martone & Leistman (KML) joined the law firm of Forchelli Deegan Terrana (FDT) out of Mineola to create a more powerful real estate tax practice in a combined group.

The senior partner at KML, Donald Leistman, will be joining FDT’s co-managing partner John V. Terrana to co-chair the newly enlarged practice group. Together, FDT and KML will comprise a firm of 150 attorneys and staff.

"Throughout the years, I have worked both with and against members of KML. I have always been impressed by their professionalism and the quality of their work,” said Terrana. “I am excited to have them join us.”

KML says it has obtained over $1 billion in real estate tax refunds and savings for their clients.

"We always strive to deliver the best results for our real estate tax clients. But now, we can greatly enhance our services by collaborating with the FDT attorneys across several different practice areas,” said Leistman.
