Two People Arrested in Seaford for Selling Drugs With Child in Car

Seaford, NY - September 30, 2014 - The Narcotics Vice Bureau reports the arrest of two people for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance and Endangering the Welfare of a Child that occurred on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 9:21 pm in Seaford.

According to detectives, officers observed defendants Sharod Certain, 21, of 314 Fulton Street, West Babylon and Kaleya Robinson, 22, of 135 Noble Street, Bentwood arrive at the corner of Jackson and Condit Street in a 2010 Toyota Corolla and sell an undetermined amount of a substance believed to be heroin to another individual. The couple’s two year old son was seated in the back seat of the vehicle.   Officers were able to place the defendants under arrest at the scene without further incident.  The child was released to a family member.  Subsequent to the arrest, 13 bags of heroin and a gravity knife were found inside the automobile.

Defendants Certain and Robinson are being charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.  They will be arraigned on September 30, 2014 at First District Court, Hempstead.
