The drive was held Saturday, Sept. 22 and Sunday, Sept. 23 at the King Kullen in Island Park from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. A total of 2,999 pounds of supplies were collected to be distributed among food pantries, soup kitchens and homeless shelters to provide for Long Islanders in need.

“Everyone deserves the basic necessities such as food and hygiene products,” said Miller. “I am thrilled we were able to provide so much food and supplies to our fellow Long Islanders. It is great to see so many volunteers come together to show their support in helping out these people and families. I can’t wait to host this drive again next year and beat this year’s collection.”
