SCPD: Motorcyclist Killed in East Moriches Motor Vehicle Collision

East Moriches, NY - September 26, 2017 - Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a motorcyclist in East Moriches, New York, last night.
 
Kevin Capurso was operating a 2017 Yamaha southbound on East Moriches Boulevard when he collided with a 1999 Jeep traveling eastbound on Valley Drive and attempting to make a left turn onto East Moriches Boulevard at approximately 6:20 p.m.  
 
Capurso, 21, of Eastport, New York, was transported by East Moriches Community Ambulance to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Jeep, Kyle Botts, 18, of Manorville, and two of his passengers were transported by East Moriches Community Ambulance to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
 
The vehicles were impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing.
