Melville, NY - September 26th, 2013 - Crimes Against Property Squad detectives report the arrest of a Melville Man on September 26, 2013 at 6:55 am in Melville.

According to detectives, Dianfenf Jiang, 41, of 12 Reinhart Court, beginning in January 2011 to the present day, was involved in a scheme using fraudulently created manufacturer coupons for Milwaukee and Bosch power tools. The coupons entitled the buyer to a “Buy One Get One Free” opportunity. Jiang, on numerous occasions, used these coupons to make purchases at Home Depot stores throughout Nassau County and elsewhere. The defendant, on later dates, would then return the merchandise for a cash refund causing Home Depots in Nassau County to sustain a loss of over $7,000.00.

A subsequent investigation led detectives to Jiang, who was located outside of his home and placed under arrest without incident.

Jiang is charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree and Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 09/27/2013.
