Officials: Man Assaulted, Seriously Injured by Two Suspects in Westbury

The Third Squad reports the details of an Assault that occurred in Westbury.
 
According to Detectives, an adult hispanic male was walking on Rutland Street when he was approached from behind by two black males. The two subjects struck the victim with a blunt object in the lower right leg before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction. Victim suffered a compound fracture of his leg and was transported to a local area hospital for treatment and evaluation. No further description of the two subjects is available at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
