SCPD has issued a Silver Alert for Anthony “Tony” Defeo, 73, a missing Islandia man who suffers from dementia and hypertension.

Islandia, NY - September 25, 2017 - The Suffolk County Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for a missing Islandia, New York man who suffers from dementia and hypertension.
 
Anthony “Tony” Defeo, 73, has gone missing from The Arbors Assisted Living at Islandia East, located at 1515 Veterans Memorial Highway, Islandia. He was last seen walking west across Veterans Memorial Highway at approximately 5:10 p.m. on Sunday, September 24. He may be heading to his previous address at 33 Magnet St., Stony Brook, New York or Cedar Beach in Mount Sinai, New York.
 
He is described as a white male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 150 pounds, short grey hair, blue eyes, wearing a black tee shirt with white lettering (including the word “beer”), blue jeans and white sneakers. He has a tattoo of Air Force wings on both his left arm and his chest, and another tattoo on his arm of the letters “BOTCH”.  
 
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Fourth Squad detectives at 631-854-8452 or call 911.
 
As a reminder, Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
