Officials: Man Arrested for DWI Following Fatal Hauppauge Vehicle Crash

Hauppauge, NY - Sept. 24, 2018 - Suffolk County Police on Monday, September 24, arrested a Hauppauge man for driving while intoxicated and reckless endangerment following a fatal motor vehicle crash.
 
Scott Brunengraber was driving 2016 Lexus southbound on Terry Road in Hauppauge when he struck a parked 2017 Toyota at approximately 3:15 a.m. Brunengraber pulled over on Ingrid Court and his male passenger, Wu Wang of Flushing, 40, was transported to St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown where he was pronounced dead.
 
Brunengraber, 45, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Reckless Endangerment 2nd Degree. He is scheduled to be arraigned on September 25 at First District Court in Central Islip.
