Silver Alert Issued for Central Islip Man Suffering from Schizoaffective Disorder

Central Islip, NY - September 24th, 2014 - The Suffolk County Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for a missing Central Islip man male who suffers from Schizoaffective Disorder.

Vincent Hartinger, 47, of 133 Suffolk Ave., was last seen on September 3 at his residence at approximately 8 a.m.  He is described as a white male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 170 pounds, with a fair complexion, brown eyes and gray hair. He now has a mustache and a beard. Detectives believe he may be off his medication.

Anyone with information about his location is asked to call 911 or Third Squad detectives at 631-854-8352.

As a reminder Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
