Pair Busted in Lynbrook for Heroin

Lynbrook, NY - September 24th, 2014 - Narcotics/Vice Bureau detectives report the arrests of two individuals for a Narcotics related incident that occurred on September 23, 2014 at 5:55 pm in Lynbrook.

According to detectives, while conducting a narcotics investigation in a drug prone area of Lynbrook, detectives, along with an undercover Lynbrook Police Department sergeant, observed what was believed to be drug transaction in the parking lot of White Castle, 490 Sunrise Highway. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Noor Mayan, 30, of Halyard Road, Valley Stream and Alyssa Romer, 26, of William Road, Massapequa.

During the investigation and resulting arrests, Romer was found to be in possession of 50 wax paper bags containing heroin that she purchased from Mayan. During a search of Mayan’s vehicle, where the transaction took place, an additional 75 wax paper bags containing heroin were found.

Romer is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Mayan is charged with two (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree. Both defendants will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 09/24/2014.
