LIRR Providing Special Car for Cancer Survivors Going to Victory Day Event at Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson on Saturday, September 27

Port Jefferson, NY - September 24, 2014 - The Long Island Rail Road has set aside two cars of a regularly scheduled train for breast cancer survivors traveling to the Victory Day event at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson on Saturday, September 27.
 
The Victory Day Train will depart Penn Station at 8:51 AM. The train will stop at Jamaica at 9:12 AM, New Hyde Park at 9:23 AM, Merilon Avenue at 9:25 AM, Mineola at 9:27 AM; Carle Place at 9:30 AM, Hicksville at 9:37 AM, Syosset at 9:44 AM, Cold Spring Harbor at 9:49 AM, Huntington at 10:03 AM, Greenlawn at 10:08 AM, Northport at 10:13 AM, Kings Park at 10:20 AM, Smithtown at 10:29 AM; St. James at 10:35 AM , Stony Brook 10:41 AM arriving in Port Jefferson at 10:51 AM.
 
Due to track work, Woodside customers must take the 8:50 AM train from Woodsideand change at Jamaica for the Victory Day Train.
 
Mather Hospital’s Breast Cancer Victory Day is an annual celebration of survivorship. Hundreds of breast cancer survivors and their families and friends gather at the Port Jefferson campus of Mather Hospital to share their stories of treatmentand their fight against the disease and to raise awareness about early detection. Astoria Bank is the presented sponsor of Victory Day.
