West Hempstead Man Arrested After Allegedly Performing Lewd Act in Public Park in View of Child

The Public Information Office reports the arrest of a West Hempstead man for a Public Lewdness that occurred on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 3:55 PM in West Hempstead.
 
According to Police, officers responded to Halls Pond Park located at 671 Nassau Boulevard for a report of a male committing a lewd act. The female victim, 11, observed a male inappropriately touching himself. The victim informed her father who also observed the incident. 
 
Officers located the Defendant, Avigdor Goldemberg, 31 and placed him under arrest without incident.
 
Defendant Goldemberg is charged with Public Lewdness and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was released on an appearance ticket returnable on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at First District Court, Hempstead.
