NCPD Marine Bureau Rescues Three Teens from Capsized Vessel in Point Lookout

Marine 6 recovered a 13 year old and two 14 year old females from the water.

The Marine Bureau reports the details of a water rescue that occurred on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 5:40 pm off Point Lookout.
 
According to police, Marine 6 responded to a call for a capsized vessel with three people in the water of Reynolds Channel, in the area of East Marina. Upon arrival it was determined by both The United States Coast Guard and Nassau County Marine Bureau that a paddle craft had capsized, placing the three female juveniles aboard into the water due to strong currents.  
 
Marine 6 recovered a 13 year old and two 14 year old females from the water. The three female juveniles were then transported to East Marina. The juveniles were left in the custody of their parents and no injuries were reported.
