, Glen Cove’s streets were lined with hundreds of the Northeast’s best souped-up Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porches, BMWs and Camaros which revved their engines making spectators gleam with excitement during the annual event, produced by Martino Auto Concepts and Exotics4Life.com and their teams.

Attendees also enjoyed local bands The Lazy Dogs and the Matt Grabowski Band, tasty food and great raffle prizes, while Joe Manfredi from Old Westbury Web Radio served as the event’s MC.

Spinello; Councilman Nick DiLeo Jr.; Councilwoman Pamela D. Panzenbeck; and Councilman Roderick Watson all took part in the festivities.

“Each year, this fun, family-filled day with the backdrop of hundreds of one-of-a-kind luxury cars continues its popularity and the important goal of bringing awareness and raising funds to find a cure to diabetes at the DRI,” said Joe LaPadula, Co-Chair and producer of the annual Gold Coast Concours/Bimmerstock event. “This year, we raised a great amount of money for diabetes research and I am extremely thankful to all those who support our efforts to make this event such a success.”

Since its inception, Gold Coast Concours/Bimmerstock has raised more than $472,000 for the cure-focused research at the DRI.

“This is such a fabulous event for such an important cause,” said Delia DeRiggi-Whitton. “Type 1 diabetes, which is usually diagnosed in children and young adults, can’t be controlled simply through diet or prescription pills.
