Suffolk SPCA Arrests Farmingdale Man for Sexual Misconduct with Dog

Farmingdale, NY - Sept. 20, 2018 - On Tuesday September 18, 2018 Suffolk SPCA detectives charged Vincent Persico, 64, with one count of animal cruelty and one count of sexual misconduct with a dog. The incident occurred on September 13th in Melville
 
SPCA Detectives tracked Persico to a home in Copiague where he was arrested and transported to the Suffolk County Police Department 1st Precinct. 
 
Persico was released on bail and is scheduled for arraignment in First District Court in Central Islip on November 27, 2018.  
 
Vincent  Persico is listed as a Level 2 sex offender on the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services sex offender registry website.
 
Chief Gross said that animal cruelty will not be tolerated in Suffolk County.  If you witness any incident of animal cruelty or neglect in Suffolk County please contact the Suffolk County SPCA at (631) 382-7722.  All calls will be kept confidential.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
