Cops: Three Brooklyn Men Arrested in Connection with Series of Nassau County Auto Thefts

East Meadow, NY – September 20, 2017 – The First Squad reports the arrest of three Brooklyn men for Grand Larceny that occurred on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 3:40 am in East Meadow.
 
According to detectives, First Precinct police responded to the vicinity of Surrey Drive / Stratford Drive for three suspicious male subjects after receiving information earlier regarding Larcenies of autos in the area. Upon police arrival three male black subjects were observed and fled on foot in rear residential yards in an unknown direction. With the assistance of the Nassau County K9 unit and the Bureau of Special Operations the three subjects were located in various rear yards on Bethlynn Court in the vicinity of Surrey Drive.
 
After further investigation it was determined that the subjects were responsible for Grand Larcenies of autos that occurred in East Meadow on September 18, 2017 in which a 2004 Ford Explorer parked on Michael Court was removed at 2:52 am along with a 2014 Jeep also parked on Michael Court. It was also determined  that a 2012 Ford Explorer was stolen on September 14, 2017 from 4th Street, Garden City, and a Volkswagen Jetta parked on Sugar Maple Road in Levittown was stolen on August 24, 2017. Defendants Tziah Townsend, Isaiah Feliciano, and Omar McFarlane, were placed into police custody without incident. There were no injuries reported.
 
Omar McFarlane is charged with 3 counts Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, 1 count Identity Theft 3rd Degree, 1 count Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree, 1 count Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, 1 count Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st Degree, 1 count Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree, 1 count Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th Degree, 1 count Grand Larceny 4th Degree, and 3 counts of Petit Larceny.
 
Tziah Townsend is charged with 2 counts Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, 3 counts of Petit Larceny, 1 count Grand Larceny 4th Degree, 1 count Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree, and 1 count of Criminal Trespass 3rd degree.
 
Isaiah Feliciano is charged with 2 counts of Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, 3 counts of Petit Larceny, 1 count Grand Larceny4th Degree, 1 count Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree, and 1 count of Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree.
 
All three defendants were arraigned on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at First District Court in Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
