Activities available for the entire family on Sunday, October 16.

Miller Place, NY - September 21, 2016 - Come meet firefighters and EMTS…Explore firefighting equipment …See active demonstrations … Take home information and materials to help enhance fire prevention and fire safety awareness for everyone in the family at the Miller Place Fire Department Open House scheduled for Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The event takes place at Miller Place Fire Department Station 2, located at 220 Miller Place-Yaphank Road in Miller Place, NY. There will be activities for the entire family.

Starting at 11:00 AM, demonstrations from one of the Suffolk County Fire Marshals Detection K-9s will take place. There will also be a Bike Rodeo put on by Suffolk County and an opportunity to explore specialized firefighting equipment. Take pictures with a wide variety of the vehicles!

Fire control demonstrations are also planned and there's an opportunity to try on some fire protection “turn out” gear!
