Crime Report: Floral Park Bank Robbery; Police Searching for Macy's Shoplifters

Floral Park Bank Robbery
Nassau County Police are searching for the suspect of a bank robbery that occurred this week in Floral Park.
 
The suspect entered Capital One Bank on Tulip Avenue on September 17 at 5:40 p.m. He approached the teller, pulled out a handgun and demanded money. The teller gave him an undisclosed amount, and the suspect was last seen heading southbound on Plainfield Road.
 
According to police, the suspect is a black male, 6’ tall, between 35 and 40 years old, with a stocky build. He was wearing a baseball cap, sunglasses, a white T-Shirt and dark pants at the time of the robbery.
 
No injuries were reported, four employees and one customer were present at the time of the robbery.

Police Searching for Macy's Shoplifters
Three people are wanted for shoplifting at a Macy’s on Sunrise Highway in Bay Shore this month. The incident occurred on September 14 at 3 p.m.
 
Two men (pictured) and a woman entered the department store and stole several pairs of sunglasses, putting them into a shopping bag and fleeing the scene.
 
Suffolk County Police said that there is a $5,000 cash reward for any information leading to an arrest. Anyone that can identify the shoplifters should can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. Calls to Crime Stoppers will remain anonymous.
