Suffolk County Police Department Issue Silver Alert for Medio Figliolia

UPDATE - September 23rd, 2013 - Following an investigation by Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives, Medio Figliolia was located this afternoon in East Hampton. Figliolia, along with his van, was located near the intersection of Abraham Path and Town Lane at 1:30 p.m. by detectives. He was transported to Southampton Hospital for observation.

Mastic, NY - September 19th, 2013 - The Suffolk County Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for a missing man who suffers from dementia.

Medio Figliolia, 87, was last seen on September 18, at 7 a.m. at 8 Southhaven Ave, Mastic, standing in his driveway.

Figliolia is a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, balding, with a slim build. He is possibly operating a 1994 Chevrolet Sport Van with a NY license plate of 79 MCL.

Anyone with information about his location is requested to contact the 7th Squad at 631-852-8742.

As a reminder, the Silver Alert is a new program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have gone missing.
