Gusty northwest winds will develop today and continue into the afternoon, with gusts up to 20 to 25 miles per hour. The gusty winds, combined with low fuel moisture, and relative humidity values lowering to near 25 to 30 percent, will aid fire spread should ignition occur. NCPD Investigating E Garden City Jewelry Story Robbery

The Robbery Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred in East Garden City on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 5:20 pm.

East Garden City, NY - September 18th, 2014 - The Robbery Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred in East Garden City on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 5:20 pm.

According to detectives, three male subjects entered Tourneau Jewelers located in the Roosevelt Field Mall, 630 Old Country Road and approached two male salesmen working in the Rolex section of the store. The three subjects suddenly produced hammers and began smashing several display cases and removed an undetermined amount of Rolex watches. The subjects fled the store heading south through Macy’s Department Store and out the south entrance of the mall. The subjects were observed entering a green Ford Pick Up truck with gray running boards that traveled east on Ring Road.

Subject one is described as black, 20-30 years of age, 5’8”- 5 ‘10” tall, light colored sweatshirt with unknown lettering on front, dark pants and a skull cap. Subject two is described as black, 20-30 years of age, mustache, dark skull cap, dark suede jacket.  Subject three is described as black, 20-30 years of age. 6’1”-6’3” tall, mustache, dark hooded sweatshirt, dark clothing.
