Man Wanted for Buying $1500 in Gift Cards with Stolen Credit Card

Huntington Station, NY - September 16th, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole a person’s identity to buy gift cards at a store in Huntington Station in May.

A man entered the Apple Store, located at 160 Walt Whitman Road, and purchased $1500 worth of gift cards using another person’s credit card information on May 12.

The man was described as black. He was wearing a black T-shirt, tan pants, black sneakers and a black and red Atlanta Braves hat.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
