Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating reckless endangerment incidents during which gunshots were fired into the rear of two adjacent homes in Dix Hills on Saturday, September 14.

Police responded to a 911 call reporting multiple shots fired on Woodedge Drive at approximately 7 a.m. Upon arrival, police discovered two adjacent homes, located at 39 and 41 Woodedge Drive, each struck once. No one inside the homes was injured and the homes do not appear to have been targeted.

Second Precinct police officers, a Canine Unit, Crime Scene Units, and State Police responded to the scene and assisted the Second Squad with the investigation.

The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
