9th Annual Over 50 Fair Will Have Fabulous Appearances

East Hills, NY - Sept. 14, 2018 - The Over 50 Fair will amaze the large crowd of Long Island Baby Boomers and seniors who will attend this year’s event with fabulous appearances. The Over 50 Fair, in its 9th year, will take place on Sunday, September 30 from 10 am -4:30 pm at the Hilton Long Island / Huntington with reality TV contestants, entertainers, beauty queens, and exceptional speakers.

The annual event is the largest “over 50” expo on Long Island. This year’s Fair will have over 80 exhibitors and 30 speakers including many features from last year plus new ones for attendees to enjoy.
 
Domenick Abbate, runner-up on CBS TV’s Survivor Ghost Island from earlier this year will do a meet-and-greet and talk about his experience in Fiji and playing the game for 39 days. Laurie Russo of Laura Alison Design, a contestant on ABC TV’s Steve Harvey’s Funderdome will also share her story of the week she spent in California promoting her infinity scarf.

In the Singles Lounge, sponsored by MTN Matchmaking, international powerhouse vocalist JayCeeDriesen will sing and Mitchell Robert will perform his musical comedy show.

Senior beauty queen winners from 2013 to 2018 from the Ms. New York Senior America pageant will be among the eight lovely ladies who will pose for photos and “class the place up.”

In addition, there will be over 30 classes taught by experts in their field, including Dr. Keneth Hall of NYU Winthrop Surgical Associates; Steven J. Sless, National Reverse Mortgage Director of US Mortgage; and Anthony F. Russo, Esq. of Anthony F. Russo and Associates PC.

The Over 50 Fair is the brainchild of East Hills resident Barbara Kaplan, who also coordinates events at area malls under the business name Specialty Connections.  Shesays that “the Over 50 Fair is an opportunity for adults age 50+ to find out about great opportunities here on Long Island.  Our attendees will enjoy the free health screenings and consults, tech support, and much more.”

Noteworthy Band will played jazz and acoustic music throughout the day.  This new addition to the Over 50 Fair was well received last year.
 
The attendees enjoy connecting with the vendors, and vice versa. Repeat exhibitor Joe Satriano of the Susan Satriano Foundation shared “There is something for everyone to browse, enjoy talented performers and attend educational classes during the day.”

The INN (Interfaith Nutrition Network), a local non-profit that helps Long Island’s needy, is once again asking people to bring non-perishable food and cash donations to exchange for raffle tickets to win valuable prizes. 
 
Admission tickets, which include access to all classes and exhibitors, are $6 online, $8 at the door, and free for Veterans with ID. Attendees may bring one adult child free with their paid admission. The Hilton Long Island/Huntington is located at 598 Broad Hollow Road (Rt. 110), Melville, just south of the Long Island Expressway.
