NCPD: Attempted Murder and Occupied Burglary in Westbury

Westbury, NY - September 14, 2014 - Third Squad detectives are investigating an occupied burglary and an attempted murder which occurred in Westbury on Saturday, 09/13/14 at 4:05 A.M.
 
According to detectives, two male subjects armed with handguns, entered a residence on AlbanyAve. through a kitchen window, proceeded directly to the bedroom and fired several gunshots at a male victim, 33, striking him in the torso.  The subjects then fled through the side door in an unknown direction by unknown means.  Two female victims were also in the residence at the time of the assault, but were unharmed.
 
Nassau County Police Ambulance transported the victim to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
 
The subjects are described as male blacks, tall, thin build, wearing black clothing, masks and gloves.  No further description is available at this time.
