Three teenagers from the Three Village area were arrested in connection with the two robbery cases at Stony Brook University last week.

The teenagers, all of which are 16 years old, were involved in two on-campus armed robberies of Stony Brook University students.

The first robbery occurred on the evening of September 1, when the student was walking along the bike path next to the campus athletic fields and was approached by a group of young men. The suspect reportedly threatened the student at knife point and and stole his cell phone. After robbing the student, the group two or three males ran toward the Long Island Rail Road commuter parking lot located in the back of the school.

In the second incident on September 3, two males approached three university students and threatened them with an Airsoft pistol and demanded money.

Two of the suspects were charged with robbery in the second degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree.  The third was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree.

Two of the suspects are from East Setauket, and one is from Setauket. The boys arrested had no connection to the university.
