A post on the Robinson's Tea Room Facebook page announced today that they have closed.

 

“As of today we are permanently closed,” the post says. “Thank you for all the memories.”

 

An outpouring of support and memories for the beloved tea room in Stony Brook Village Center at 97 Main Street followed in the comments section.

 

“So many people loved and adored your tea room,” wrote one poster. “It was definitely one of a kind and you should be so proud of that!”

 

“I’m so sad! Robinson’s Tea Room was one of my favorite places,” wrote another. “I’m so depressed!”

 

No reason was given for the closing and no one at the phone number listed on their website answered. The site also says the tea room is permanently closed.
