Legislator Debra Mulé Attends Nassau County’s 8th Annual POW/MIA Recognition Ceremony at Eisenhower Park
East Meadow, NY - Sept. 13, 2018 - Legislator Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) attended Nassau County’s eighth annual POW/MIA Recognition Ceremony and Veterans Picnic at Eisenhower Park on Thursday, Sept. 6. The ceremony was hosted by Nassau County Executive Laura Curran and Nassau County Director of Veterans Services Ralph Esposito to remember the sacrifices made by prisoners of war (POW) and servicemembers who are missing in action (MIA).
During the recognition ceremony, Legislator Mulé joined elected in officials in reciting the names of service members missing inaction and thanked veterans in attendance who have served. Hundreds of residents and veterans gathered to recognize and remember the valor exhibited by these soldiers.
“We must never forget the men and women who served our nation with distinction, dignity and honor - especially those who upheld these values while facing unthinkable hardship,” Legislator Mulé said. “I thank County Executive Curran and her team for continuing an important tradition that allows us all to give thanks to these hometown patriots.”
