44th Hallockville Museum Farm Country Fair September 27 & 28, 2025

Written by Chris Boyle  |  12. September 2025

Hallockville Museum Farm, the 28-acre preserved farm homestead on Long Island’s North Fork, invites the community to join in a milestone celebration: the 44th Annual Hallockville Country Fair, happening Saturday, September 27 and Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This year’s fair celebrates Hallockville’s 50th anniversary as a museum farm, and the festivities will be bigger than ever. Country Fair visitors can expect a farm-tastic weekend of North Fork heritage and hands-on fun.

“The Hallockville Country Fair has always been about celebrating farm life, local history, and community spirit,” said Heather Johnson, executive director of Hallockville Museum Farm. “As we commemorate Hallockville’s 50th anniversary, this year’s fair offers visitors an authentic country fair experience and an opportunity to immerse yourself in Long Island’s family farm heritage.”

The 2025 Country Fair will feature:

  • A Glass Pumpkin Patch featuring works by Adirondack Glassblowing Studio, which will be available for sale with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Hallockville;
  • Historical tours and traditional skills demonstrations including colonial cooking over an open fire and traditional bread baking;
  • Folk arts demonstrations from basket weaving to wood carving;
  • Tractor pulls and parades; blacksmith, sawmill and antique machinery demonstrations; and a children’s train ride with the Long Island Antique Power Association;
  • Wagon rides, pony rides, and a children’s petting zoo;
  • Performances by the Islip Horsemen’s Association Spirit of Long Island Mounted Drill Team (Saturday only);
  • Goat-on-a-Boat puppet-making workshop (Saturday only);
  • Picasso the Painting Dog (Sunday only);
  • A beekeeping demonstration (Sunday only);
  • A free concert by the No Doubt world Famous Monday Night Band (Sunday at 1 p.m., weather dependent);
  • Old-fashioned children’s activities including sack races, crafts; farm skills and more;
  • A marketplace of baked goods, crafts, and handmade wares;
  • Live music by the Old Time Jam Band, and local contemporary bands;
  • A jam, potato and pumpkin contest;
  • Food and adult beverage trucks;
  • 50% off admission on Sunday between 10 a.m. and noon.

“We’re delighted to feature fair favorites such as the historic home tours, the children’s potato dig and the petting zoo, but we’re just as excited about new offerings such as the Glass Pumpkin Patch and Picasso the Painting Dog,” said Ms. Johnson. “I know it sounds cliché to say, ‘There’s something for everyone at the Hallockville Country Fair,’ but it’s really true. Whether you are young or old, whether you like crafts, food, animals, trucks and tractors, beer, music or shopping, we will have it all.”
