Wine Festival Returns to Belmont Racetrack on September 18

Belmont Racetrack is probably best known for hosting the Belmont Stakes, the third leg of the Triple Crown. It’s place in horse racing history is well known and The Stakes is the oldest of all of the Triple Crown events.

Less known, but just as glamorous and almost as exciting is Belmont Uncorked, a fun-filled day of wine tasting and live horse racing. The event, which is produced with the help of Long Island event company, Starfish Junction Productions, will return this year after taking a hiatus due to Covid.

 

On Saturday, September 18, Belmont Uncorked celebrates wines from around the corner and around the globe. The event will be held in Belmont Racetrack’s North Shore Terrace ClubHouse, offering sweeping grandstand views of the race track.

 

Representing local producers will be some of Long Island’s most-popular wineries, including Pindar Vineyards who will host a special VIP area at the event with special wines served only in their VIP lounge and other wines from their portfolio in the event’s general admission area. A variety of national and international wineries will also join in for the day’s festivities.

 

Tickets are $85pp for a VIP pass and $70pp for general admission.The VIP session begins at 12:30pm. General Admission runs from 1:30 to 5pm.

 

The VIP ticket includes one-hour early admission, access to the Pindar VIP Lounge for special meet and greet, and a goodie bag sponsored by Stew Leonard's including take-home treats from RED Chocolate, Love Corn, Tipson Tea, Brody’s, Raw Rev, and the latest issue of Imbibe Magazine.

 

All tickets include all wine sampling, grandstand viewing of the day’s live scheduled races, and a souvenir wine tasting glass. You can purchase tickets at the event website.
