After presenting a wide range of spectacles, Cirque Du Soleil is getting into the business of holiday productions with a Christmas show full of twists, turns, flips and acrobatics.

Cirque Du Soleil, the Canadian company whose mix of acrobatics, technology and art have created a unique genre of entertainment, is teaming with MSG on its first Christmas show playing in Chicago and New York.

It's debuting 'Twas the Night Before... at the Chicago Theatre Nov. 29 to Dec. 8, before playing at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden Dec. 11-29.

The companies called the production a “vibrant acrobatic show” with “an exhilarating new spin on the beloved Christmas classic as only Cirque du Soleil can imagine.”

Darren Pfeffer, executive vice president at MSG Live at The Madison Square Garden Co., called the show, which retells the story from the classic poem, “a unique celebration of the season.”

He described it as a "one-of-a-kind production” showcasing the “creativity, athleticism and artistry of Cirque du Soleil."

Cirque Du Soleil Chief Executive Producer Yasmine Khalil said the show is a “production celebrating the holiday season, with a unique take on a Christmas classic.”

In 'Twas the Night Before..., audiences watch a young girl named Isabella, disenchanted by the pomp and circumstance around Christmas, as she is “suddenly whisked away to an upside-down, inside-out world.”

“Expect the unexpected through this all new production and find out what happened before Santa dropped in,” according to the two companies.
