Shirley, NY - September 11, 2014 – Students and staff at William Floyd Elementary School are commemorating the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance and honoring those lost or affected by the terrorist attacks 13 years ago by collecting donations of school supplies and healthy snacks to benefit local families. Students and staff are also encouraged to wear red, white and blue to show support and recognition for the nation’s service personnel and first responders.
