SCPD: Man Wanted for Scratching Car in Islandia

Islandia, NY - September 11, 2014  - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are investigating a criminal mischief that occurred in a parking lot in Islandia earlier this month.
 
A male scratched the side of a 2014 Honda Pilot that was parked on the west side of Walmart, located at 1850 Veterans Memorial Highway, at approximately 11:30 a.m. on September 7. The man was described as Asian, 5 feet 6 inches tall to 5 feet 8 inches tall, approximately 140 pounds with receding dark hair. He was wearing a blue hooded-sweatshirt, a white tank top, light blue shorts and sneakers with lime green laces. The suspect was driving a white cargo van.
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
