16- and 17-Year-Old Arrested for Possession of Loaded Handgun
Rockville Centre, NY - September 8, 2016 - First Squad detectives report the details of two arrests for criminal possession of a weapon that occurred in Rockville Centre on Wednesday, 09/07/16 at 10:15 P.M.
According to detectives, upon stopping a vehicle for a VTL violation on Merrick Rd./Ocean Ave., Rockville Centre police officers found the driver, Kahmani Headley, 16, of Valley Stream, and passenger, Dandre Dogostiano, 17, of Rockville Centre, to be in possession of a loaded handgun. The defendants were placed under arrest at the scene.
Both defendants are each being charged with Criminal Possession of Weapon 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of Weapon 3rd Degree. Headley is additionally being charged with VTL violations - Unlicensed Operator and Fail to Obey Traffic Device. Both defendants were arraigned on Thursday, 09/08/16 in First District Court, Hempstead.
