Elmont Man Charged with Two Counts of Grand Larceny

Elmont, NY - September 8, 2014 - The Third Squad reports the arrest of an Elmont man on Monday September 8, 2014 for Grand Larceny in Elmont.

According to detectives, during a routine check of pawn shops a detective discovered multiple sales of jewelry by the defendant Michael C. Lamarca, 37 of 1328 Eagle Avenue to two separate pawn brokers in Nassau County. A subsequent investigation by the detective determined that as an employee of Gentil Moving Services, Lamarca removed assorted jewelry from victims and sold the items. Lamarca was located leaving Enterprise Pawnbrokers in Elmont and placed under arrest without incident.

He is charged with two counts of Grand Larceny 4th degree and Petit Larceny. He will be arraigned on Tuesday September 9, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
