NCPD: Woodhaven Man Arrested in Connection with Multiple Burglaries Throughout Nassau County

Major Case Bureau Detectives from the Burglary Pattern Squad report the arrest of a Woodhaven man in Mineola for Grand Larcenies that occurred within Nassau County.
 
According to Detectives, James Markellos, 51, after an extensive investigation utilizing multiple investigative units, was identified as the person responsible for breaking into the following trailers and removing various pieces of landscaping equipment:
 
  • 8/1/19 – 401 Hicksville Road, Bethpage
  • 8/3/19 – 401 Hicksville Road, Bethpage
  • 8/15/19 – 99 Franklin Avenue, Franklin Square
  • 8/17/19 – 44 West Centennial Avenue, Roosevelt
  • 8/19/19 – 15 Washburn Avenue, Freeport
  • 8/22/19 – 279 Atlantic Avenue, Freeport
  • 8/22/19 – 151 Nassau Road, Roosevelt
  • 8/28/19 – 1495 Hicksville Road, North Massapequa
The defendant, James Markellos, was located in the vicinity of Armstrong Place and Washington Avenue in Mineola and placed under arrest without further incident. He has been charged with six (6) counts of Grand Larceny 3rd Degree and three (3) counts of Grand Larceny 4th Degree. He was arraigned at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
