NCPD reports the arrest of Christopher Desousa of Massapequa, 17, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

Massapequa, NY - Sept. 5, 2018 - Seventh Squad detectives report the arrest of a Massapequa man for Criminal Possession of a Weapon that occurred on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 10:50 p.m. in Massapequa.
 
According to detectives, police responded to a call for a suspicious person in a vehicle parked on Peconic Drive. As officers approached the vehicle and began to interview the driver, defendant Christopher Desousa, 17, they observed a clown costume and clown mask in plain sight on the passenger seat. During the investigation it was determined that the driver was the same male from an incident that occurred on Monday, September 3, 2018 at John Burns Park. In that incident, Desousa, while dressed as a clown chased multiple juveniles with a stun gun. No injuries were reported from that incident. Desousa was taken into custody and after a search of the vehicle, four stun guns and a black jack were recovered.
 
Defendant Christopher Desousa is being charged with five (5) counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree and will be arraigned on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in First District Court 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
