PSEG Long Island Partners with Farmingdale State College and NY-GEO to Bring Geothermal Workshop to Long Island

Uniondale, NY - Sept. 5, 2018 - PSEG Long Island, The Renewable Energy and Sustainability Center (RESC) at Farmingdale State College, and New York Geothermal Energy Organization (NY-GEO) are pleased to offer the Certified Geothermal Inspector course for Long Island inspectors, and the Accredited Installer Workshop course for Long Island contractors. These courses are developed and administered by the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA).
 
PSEG Long Island funded these courses to help educate Long Island inspectors and contractors on ground source heat pump (GSHP) technology. The week-long workshop is comprised of two discounted courses - a three-day Accredited Installer Workshop course and a two-day Certified Geothermal Inspector course.
 
The workshop will be held at Farmingdale State College the week of September 24. Continuing education credits for participants may be available.
 
The Certified Geothermal Inspector course is designed for city and state government code enforcing inspectors. Professional development electives (PDE) may be available to code enforcement officials.
 
The Accredited Installer Workshop course is designed for GSHP installers, contractors, dealers, home builders, manufacturers, distributors, architects, heating cooling mechanical engineers and trench/water well drilling contractors.
