Lupinacci Displays Gold Ribbons at Huntington Town Hall for Children’s Cancer Awareness Month

Huntington, NY - Sept. 5, 2018 - Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci launched a Gold Ribbon Campaign at Huntington Town Hall for Children’s Cancer Awareness Month at the request of the Christina Renna Foundation.
 
"This gold ribbon campaign allows us as a community to speak with one voice for those voices that can no longer be heard and for those children who need our help today and tomorrow," said Supervisor Lupinacci.
 
The gold ribbons will adorn lamp posts and benches at Huntington Town Hall through the month of September.
 
Christina Rose Renna, age 16, succumbed to Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare soft tissue cancer on January 11, 2007. The Christina Renna Foundation Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting childhood cancer research and furthering awareness and education through the support of cancer groups and outreach program for the direct support of those in need.
