Shot Fired During Attempted Robbery of K and J Grocery in Uniondale

Uniondale, NY - September 3, 2014 - According to detectives, a 67 year old male victim was working at K and J Grocery 878 Jerusalem Avenue, when two unknown male black subjects (no further description) entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The victim screamed and the subjects fled the store after firing one shot. The subjects were last seen southbound on Nostrand Avenue. There were no proceeds or reported injuries. Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
