NCPD Crime Alert: Pair of Teens Wanted for Mugging Cyclist in Roosevelt

Roosevelt, NY - September 3rd, 2014 - The First Squad reports the details of a Robbery that occurred on Tuesday September 2, 2014 at 6:10 p.m. in Roosevelt.

According to detectives, the male victim, 23 was walking westbound on Henry Street when he was approached by two male blacks, between 15-17 years of age, on gray BMX bicycles. One subject demanded the victim’s money and then struck the victim in his head knocking him to the ground. Both subjects proceeded to kick and punch the victim while on the ground. The victim was able to get up and run to Brookside Avenue where the subjects again caught up to him and demanded his money. The victim handed over an unknown amount of cash to the subjects who fled on the bicycles southbound on Brookside. The victim suffered a laceration to his head and facial contusions. He refused medical treatment at the scene.
