3 Men Rescued from Water after Boat Capsized Off of Matinecock Point

Glen Cove, NY - September 2, 2016 - The Nassau County Police Department reports the details of a Water Rescue that occurred on Friday, September 02, 2016 at 9:27 am in Glen Cove.

According to police, 911 received a call for a capsized boat off of Matinecock Point. The caller stated his boat was sinking with three persons on board.  The line was then disconnected.  Nassau County Police Department – Marine 1 responded and located the vessel, a 20 foot Proliner, capsized with three males in the water clinging to the hull. 

The crew of Marine 1 removed the victims from the water and transported them to Garvey Point Marina where they were met by ambulances from Glen Cove Fire Department.  The male victims ages 28, 35 and 43 reported  no injuries.
