Franklin Square Man Arrested for Stealing Over $35k in Copper Wires from Job

Massapequa, NY - September 2nd, 2014 - Seventh Squad detectives report the arrest of a Franklin Square man for burglary and grand larceny that occurred in Massapequa beginning 07/19/14 through 08/14/14.

According to detectives, Andrew Walsh, 27, of Dogwood Ave., while employed as an electrician for an electrical company in Massapequa, removed copper wires and fuses valued at approximately $35,000, from his place of employment.

Seventh Squad detectives located and arrested Walsh on Monday, 09/01/14 in East Rockaway.  He is being charged with two counts of Burglary 3rd Degree, Grand Larceny 3rd Degree and will be arraigned on Tuesday, 09/02/14 in First District Court, Hempstead.
